I would like to know what the mysterious phrase “the con in it’s current incarnation” means.
Does it mean there will be a totally different con next year? If yes – different in what way?
Or does it mean its more likely there will be no con at all?
I am having the weird feeling that it means that the fear the con podcast will stop to exist, please be so kind to deny that.
As of right now there will be no Fear the Con next year. If the con comes back after next year we would want to reevaluate it from the ground up so it likely would not look the same. What does that mean? We don’t even know. It does mean there is no con next year and this could very well be the last one ever. That is why we want it to be the biggest and the best to date.

Thanks for the answer!
Are there any plans that “fear the boot – the podcast” will stop to exist? Or any circumstances that are increasing the likelyhood of such a thing happening?
There are no plans to end Fear the Boot. Only two things would likely kill it…
1. Across-the-board burnout among the hosts. I’ve been dealing with some of that on my own, which is why our release schedule has been down a bit. But the other hosts are keeping the show afloat until I snap out of it.
2. A mass listener exodus. If no one is listening, then why keep making the show?
But my current funk aside, the show and community are both in really good shape, so there are no looming plans to close down shop.
