Episode 4 – campaign design
Why exactly do we play roleplaying games? Episode 4 starts with that question getting kicked around. As we try to answer it, we also think back to a GURPs “trip to the lake” game we saw being played at a gaming con.
Tim brings in some material on the new realm, Ptolus, which we review. Then we offer GMs some advice on designing the campaign that will tie your individual game sittings together.

That $120 set sounds awesome, though yeah I felt the initial sticker shock too hearing that. I paid about half the retail on the D&D 4e gift set thanks to Amazon savings and… I’m not impressed with it… glad I didn’t pay the full $105. I’d much rather get a complete game for that kind of investment. Three years later… I wonder how it did. *makes note to go look into that* xD
I’m a girl gamer and so far I’ve never played a session with more boys than girls. I’m listening to these in order so you might address this later, but do you think there’s a big difference between mostly girls and mostly boy sessions?
Sorry about the above comment. I clicked the wrong episode; that was meant for episode five.
