Eh, there's a decent amount of things you can learn with just youtube videos.

Never used Fusion 360 but from my understanding it works pretty much like inventor. What issues are you having.

Lots of little stuff. I miss small details since I'm following along in 360 as I watch, then things don't work and I have to go back and see what I missed. This means that even stuff thats irrelevant may take me a half hour to get right for no reason. Last night was issues with getting the right plane to model a rectangle on. Kept selecting xy and after a few minutes realized that the tutorial had Z up, but for some reason my version was using Y up. Didn't get a chance to look into it since my chick showed up and I had to leave. For robots we use the right hand rule with Z up so thats how I think of things.

It definitely can be. I've been lucky, I've found a lot of great channels that taught me a lot. In this case, it's not turning out great. Lucky (he thinks, full of hubris) I have tuition reimbursement and can take some classes at the community college by my house. Unfortunately schools now seem more concerned with bragging about their non-academic facilities, diversity awards, job placement services, and pretty much everything except telling me what programs are at what campus, what programs they have, or pretty much everything except the academic stuff. :soapbox:

I ended up with a Galaxy S10 to replace it. This thing is ridiculously shiny.

I was just informed that I'm inheriting ownership of an internal application. The grumbly is that this site is very poorly maintained and has pending feature asks that require API Permissions that themselves require Security Compliance that the site absolutely does not meet. So I get to spend probably the better part of next month creating security documentation and regular documentation and adding modern authentication to every access point of the site.

Sounds like an excuse to build a new application from scratch.

I tried really really hard to pitch that, but the application is in use and a rebuilding it would delay access to the features for long enough that they're willing to live with the tech debt. Mostly because I'M the one that actually has to live with it. I'm going to push back again and say that fine I'll do the SDL compliance and complete the pending asks, but ONLY under the agreement that after that I can lock the application down from any future development. I'm not taking any new asks for it, and once I'm done it just gets to simmer until people finally need new stuff for it enough that they'll let me do a rebuild.
