Work from home has its own forms of stress and it has absolutely muted my muse. Not much progress on ANYTHING. But hey, I'm pretty bad ass in Elite Dangerous and I rekindled my love for Approaching Infinity. ;)

I've done a few playtests of a tile-revealing-dungeon game, "Where do you put your backpack when you fight", and one of today's projects is tidying up the tiles -- I love the way the dungeon tiles look, but the loot cards don't look great. I know Creative Commons has lots of pictures but that means learning how to move images from one place to another, and that's one aspect of computer use I just get lost in. So this will take a while.
Game design is easier for those of you who can draw or manage computer magic.
The rules work well, though, and the game should take about half an hour, 45 minutes, to play. It can be solo, group, or fully co-op.

Planning on making a solo mini game for a November game jam. We'll see if my muse has returned. :-)

I have an artist for my game! Our goddaughter is doing the multitudinous little sketches. The art is perfect for the game: clear, sized to fit on the cards with room for other details, and she even thought of colour. She says she doesn't want paying, but if I pay her it can go on her resume. So I should soon be able to ask for playtest volunteers.

Any advice on publish-on-demand places?

Coolness, always nice to have a consistent art style for your project.

She's close to completing the art. I did the cavern tiles myself, because I like rocks and like my caverns to have the natural shape of a rock cavern; and I drew the Critters that inhabit the dungeon. I'll need help now with all the formatting and moving her images onto their places in whatever thing I use to make the game, but Gamma-Ray does that, so I'm going to take up some of his spare time. I'll be totally relying on my artist and on Ray for the look of the game.

Flaming wreck of an execution. But, I'll hold on to the ideas. :-)

That's a win!
