Hoi chummers! (That one's for Chad :p)
I'm Awspry. I've been listening to Fear the Boot since 2013, but I'm just now getting up the courage to put myself out there...err, here. The reason I say it that way is because, though I've been gaming since 2011, I can count the number of sessions (not campaigns, sessions) I've played on 2 hands. I've listened to several advice podcasts, several actual plays, and read several rulebooks, but I still consider myself a novice for not having enough hands-on experience. For that alone, I feel like my opinions don't really have the weight they should and so I've been hesitant to join the frey.
But it's time to change that! I recently just finished going through the WHOLE FtB catalog. Now that I can't live vicariously through their banter over the past 10 years, I'm here to live vicariously through this community I've heard such good things about. I'm very excited to hear what you have to say and hopefully make some new friends along the way!
Because of my inexperience, I don't have much of a player or GM style. I know what I'd LIKE to be, but I'm still trying to gain more experience and grow as a player. Recently I've found some like-minded friends and we've started a semi-regular Dragon Age campaign. We just finished our first adventure and have made it past the "new group" growing pains and I'm feeling really good about it. In addition, I've been working hard to get a Shadowrun 5E campaign off the ground. It hasn't been successful so far, but I'm not giving up yet.
Thanks for listening to my rant and I'm exciting to grow as a gamer with you guys!
