Threw my back out yesterday, and it's still stiff and painful. I'm really not enjoying the process of getting older.

Better than the alternative.

But take care of yourself.

Water mains are busted and the entire town is without water.

Edit: Apparently, two water companies had mains break simultaneously. One supplies the other, and that first pipe is in a difficult spot. The second can't get fixed until the first one is running.

My cat's refusing food. She's 17, and she might be telling us she's ready to go, but I'm not ready.

Tenet's release date got pushed back again. To August 12th so not a long delay but I am still super eager to see it.

I have to break in a new doctor, and the start was NOT good. "Oh, that medication that's kept you able to move around for the last decade? Yeah, I'm thinking NOPE." is not the best first impression a doctor could make.

I wouldn't be so quick to write him off. Some of the best health outcomes my wife and I have had over the years have been when we switched (sometimes forcibly) to new doctors that looked at our situations with fresh eyes and newer medical education.

That requires trust, and trust is kind of in short supply when the opening gambit was to remove a medication I've been taking consistently for a decade with no warning, no consultation, and no hint of an alternative approach. I prefer to be working with my doctor, but if they're determined to have an adversarial relationship, I can deal with that.

I went down to toss the trash into the compactor. When I got there it was obvious that the complex hadn't run the compactor in a few days. My neighbors apparently didn't care and just piled the stinking trash on the sidewalk in 90 degree (that's 32°C duck) weather. It all well and good to say that being in a complex means you don't have to maintain your home but I found myself cleaning up after several homes today.
