I've been sick for three days. My head goes through periods of absolutely fine followed by hot and dizzy. I've gone from being freezing cold to being far too hot. And most of the day, it's felt like I'm carrying a burning ember in my sphincter.

Me wants to be well again.

I do not need to be sick right now.

Dutch is a really hard language to learn.

I can't pronounce their 'G'; I sound like I'm going to throw up.

The closest my favorite author is coming to Corpus is six hours away on a tuesday so even if I could get the day off (and I can't) it'd still be sixhours both ways to see him

If you could choose when to be sick, say book all next year's illnesses and complaints in advance right now, would you?

:D

New semester starting. The students asking the same old questions don't bother me anywhere near as much as the faculty (who've been doing this for years in most cases) asking the same old questions. Especially when they start the help request with "I've been doing this for years, but..."

*sigh*

My base stress level is running so high right now that I'm barely functional, and it'll be staying that way for the next week.

Roll on next Friday. Wednesday is peak stress levels, Thursday is a wash thanks to a near-unity probablility of crippling migraine, but I should be back to functional on the Friday.

Those reclosable bags that promise ease of use - like shredded cheese and lunch meats come in. They almost never open properly and when they do the zip seals are crap.

When I'm lazy, I just fold the bag over; when I'm not, I put it in a Ziploc.

Okay, that's enough of nothing.
