Alanis Morrissette has destroyed most of humanity's conception of irony. As a card-carrying pedant, I find this intensely annoying.

As a recent high-school graduate, I also find this intensely annoying, but not as annoying as some of the other things my peers are wont to do.

Why would you want that?

Well, it did allow him to save humanity and all, which is always a plus.

Yeah, and boy was that ever a mistake!

The transmission on my van died today. My bonus doesn't come in until late September, and even then it may not be enough to repair and/or the repair may just not be worth it (1993 Grand Caravan). It really rankles that the vehicle may be a loss, since I just put a lot in for brake work just a few months ago.

My sympathies. I remember when the transmission on my Olds died. Sux to no end. it was my fist car, too so it stung when I had the toe guy haul it off.

OS X crashing managed to make it's partition unrecoverably non-bootable.

And yet I can still access and copy from the drive perfectly fine from Vista (which has given me no trouble at all).

Stupid broken catalog file.

Oh and to make it worse my OS X install discs are approximately 12415km away from me so I can't exactly reinstall it just now.

How do you figure that? That's a hell of a responsibility to foist on one chantreuse. Surely she can't be THAT popular? :o

I'm expecting a confrontation with the Customer Service Dept of the manufacturer of our trampoline over their ridiculously restrive warranty.
