Are you implying, dear sir, that the literal tons of perfectly edible produce clogging landfills across the US (and presumably other countries, but I only know about my own there) is somehow going to waste?

Nature certainly does lend a hand there, I'll grant you. But as a planet we produce enough food (still, although it's getting closer all the time) to feed everyone. Where people become responsible lies in distribution.

A non trivial task, full of unintended consequences that have made food insecurity even worse in many cases.
