I'm guessing she's just busy with class and interviews and haberdasheries and all of that. I could be wrong, though.

That'd do it. It's not the same around here without having to dodge blaster fire.

Annual review for my job on Monday. I'm sure I'll do fine, but this kind of thing always leads to butterflies in the stomach.

On the bright side, it should result in a decent raise and two month differential back pay, which is sorely needed between mortgage payments, and future baby next Spring...

Today consists of some happy and some grumbly.

A list of the cities I have errands in today:

Blackfalds - Where I am now, at work
Lacombe - Pack, work second job
Red Deer - Get Starbucks, I'll need it. Possibly pick something up for my mom. A book or summin.
Calgary - See my mom in the hospital. Long story, but she had a spinal tap today
Medicine Hat - Spending the weekend here. Dentist appointment tomorrow, Halloween party on Saturday

The drive would be about 5-6 hours even if we didn't stop. I don't expect to get to the Hat until don't-want-to-wake-up-for-the-dentist o'clock.

Soil is not a thing I should be finding in my gutter.

In Oklahoma, it's to be expected. The drought has made it a dusty year and thus a lot of muddy rain.

Funny thing is that when I first read that I thought it said guitar and my brain's first response was, "Right, you find Toil in a guitar."

This was deciduous-forest-floor soil. Pretty much pure humus. I don't think the gutters had been cleaned any time in the last four YEARS.

The Werefrog finally got around to cleaning the gutters. It was enough of a pain that The Werefrog just might invest in gutter nets to keep crap out of gutters.

My favorite thing about Canada is the names of the places. Its like one of the maps we drew for DnD in 8th grade.

Listening to Dan's voice for the first time in about two and a half years was a very cerebral experience.
Okay, that's enough of nothing.
