Well, let me put it this way:

Does a game called "1912: Invasion of the United States" sound boring to you?

I guess I give it bonus points because it's about my own country...

I haven't checked yet if there's a card that gives you a bonus if you burn down the building that got replaced with the White House.

My first thought about a game called 1812 would be that it was related in some way to the 18XX series, rail games so complex that they take longer than Twilight Imperium even with computer support to significantly reduce the cognitive overhead of the stock market simulator. Raucous would definitely not be the first adjective I thought of...

Panamanian war of independence (I.E. Separation of Panama from Colombia). The war it'self has just become a footnote in the building of the canal.

The Whiskey Rebellion had a good chunk of Pennsylvanian rebel against the nascent U.S. government. Us mobilized an army to find the rebels had gone home.

The last war that Liechtenstein was in they sent out 80 soldiers and 81 came back.

My secret santa got me Tales from the Yawning Portal, which was right at the top of my RPG book wishlist. Thanks Santa!

I got my stuff! Super awesome, I'd post more about it but I'm a bit busy with work right now.

Thanks much!

I'll be getting the other thing to Dan and Bro-Door. ;)

Awesome! I think that's everybody. The relative ease I had with running this is proof to me that we have a pretty kickass community here. I hope everyone enjoys their gifts and has a low stress, happy holiday (preferably with some memorable gaming stories)!

Oh yeah, I forgot to post about mine! I got a copy of Illimat, the card game! As someone that's super into music, I was stoked to get something tied in with a very cool underground artist, while also appealing to my tabletop gaming hobby. Haven't tested it out yet, but the squad's getting together for a night of gaming so we'll see how it goes!
