If a British person approaches you and asks to bum a fag, it doesn't mean what you think it means.

They are merely asking if you have a spare cigarette they can have.

It took a while to figure that out based on context from reading motorcycle magazines back in the 90's. It was like the writer had Tourette syndrome. "I could get a couple hundred miles before stopping but Matt had the stop every hour for gas..." Ok, seems reasonable enough. "...and a fag." Wait, what?

At work, my new second monitor, the one on the left, is too reflective.
Anything with a black background is like a mirror.
Fortunately, Visual Studio has a white back ground.
Unfortunately, I use VS in my right monitor and everything else in my left monitor.
Now I have to reverse everything and relearn how to do work.

Yes, but that takes more actual effort.

I may have to do that - I'm having problems working this way. It's if someone came into your kitchen and rearranged all of your drawers to a different but equally efficient layout.
There's nothing wrong with it. It's just wrong.

Later:

I couldn't cope. I had to swap the monitors.
Now I have to fix the colors.

Today I'm having another few rounds of trying to make our family Christmas cake without using wheat flour.
I'll make one normal batch, but for Gamma-Ray and myself wheat is currently not an option. And the gluten-free flour mixes usually taste pretty meh. They conceal taste, if anything.
So today I've made one batch using rye flour. The kicker is that this is vinaterte, which is six layers of cake glued together with filling, and you wrap it and freeze it for a month or so. So I'll know when I unwrap it whether it worked. Last year's trial just crumbled to a sticky mess.

Amazon Prime has spoiled me. I'm having to wait for all the cool stuff I ordered to ship.

Additionally, my credit card won't stop screaming. :D

Cauliflower bread substitute is pretty decent, but I doubt it would work in a cake.

Hmm/ Does it work as a pizza crust?

Not that anyone can make a better pizza than in Calgary, but one tries.

My new adjustable sleep number bed makes my elbows ache.
