New Year's Resolutions

Postby Glenn » Tue Dec 23, 2014 9:10 am

I know it's a little early to be posting about New Years but i can't stop thinking about it so I need to make a post.

2015 is going to be the year of me getting my shit together on a lot of different levels.

Resolution 1: Don't be so lazy. I am and awful procrastinator but all that is going to stop now. If something needs done around the house. I'm going to getting it done asap.

Resolution 2: Don't buy any more board games until I've played all the unplayed ones i have. (close to 20 games.)

Resolution 3: Meet with my RPG group more often to play 5th edition. I'm the main GM of my group and I am the one who sets up the time and place. I also have to call everyone and makes sure the choosen time works. I haven't felt like doing that and we've only played 3 times in 2014. I'll put more effort into setting that up.

Resolution 4: be very stingy with video game purchases. I don't play video games that much and between myself and two close friends we have almost every system from the NES on. I could never buy a new game and be satisfied for years.

Resolution 5: Don't jump around with hobby's so much. I enjoy reading, video games, table top rpgs, dabble in three different instruments, board games, and weak attempts at learning Spanish. I need to focus up on the instruments or the Spanish because it's no fun half assing those.

Resolution 6: don't eat so much. I used to be in really good shape. over the past 7 years i've slowly gotten heavier and out of shape. This isn't one of those classic get in shape new year's resolutions. This is something simple. Just stop eating so much and eat better. and maybe i'll be able to get back on the skate board and ride a little bit. (dang it, another hobby!)

Resolution 7: try to better at my job. Maybe this one should be number 1...

what is everyone else's resolutions?

I only have one: come Hell or high-water, I'm going to read a book a month. Considering that I can read most books in a few days if I don't do much else, that should be a very achievable task.

I need to:
a) Pick books that aren't too long or dense,
b) Read every day in small sittings, during lunch, before bed
c) read a mix of genres, and fiction/non-fiction

I'll post books I'm considering putting on the list soon.

My aim for the year is to gain muscle not fat.

My goal is to finally get that setting I've been working on illustrated, shoved into shape, and published by some means.
I still do not really have an illustrator.

No, seriously! I want to start making videos in 2015. That's my resolution.
