I know it's been a while, but I just checked this thread. While I wouldn't call myself an expert (I'm not a professional photographer), I am a serious amateur (I do digital, not film). I've studied photography on my own and am pretty well-versed on just about anything you'd care to know except studio lighting and the professional/business side of things.

Feel free to start a thread on photography! This really isn't curated anymore. It only goes forward by people putting themselves out there.
