Pathfinder SRD

Postby GymProFit » Sat Feb 18, 2012 1:47 am

Most people are probably already aware of this, but...

To my knowledge, there are two "main" resources online for Pathfinder SRD info.

1) Paizo's official PRD http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/
Maintained by Paizo, (the company that makes Pathfinder) this one only includes their core (OGL) material. By and large, it's the core Pathfinder books in html format, without artwork, but with a few useful indexes and a search function that will also search Paizo's website and message boards.

2) The fan-run D20PFSRD http://www.d20pfsrd.com/
Maintained by fans of the system, this one includes Pathfinder OGL material, as well as Pathfinder-compatible additions by fans. This one is more of a wiki-format, and, (though I haven't tried it) has a search plugin for Firefox that may make it easier to find exactly what you want when you run a search.

I use both, but tend to stick to the official one. I'm less likely to get excited by something that isn't allowed in Pathfinder Society or this game that way.

Thanks for pointing that out GPF! I'd feel much more comfortable using the official one, so I'll switch the group form the SRD to the PRD. Good catch!

If anyone wants to use the PRD on a tablet or smartphone, the following link makes navigation of it more mobile-friendly: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/navi ... html#_home That may come in handy if you don't enjoy switching windows on your PC while playing.

Also, hello world :)

And thank you for the tip! I play on a laptop right now, but I could see myself using the resource document in other settings on a tablet. Good to know.
