Sweden last victory before 2015,
Euphoria from 2012

And as a bonus there is some cool Capoeira in the end.

Go Sweden! I'll practice my Swedish lessons twice today in honor of the victory.

I heard the other day a Swedish TV production company was working on an American version of Eurovision... let me dig... ah, here's one of the stories: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/ ... st-1210833

I'll be keeping my eye on that.

Yes, because US public brotcasting would be fine with this :)

Icelands contribution this year.

I don't think the US will ever manage to recreate the trashiness of Eurovision. The cultures are just to different.

The american version of Eurovision is Americas Got Talent. I don't think US telivision could get out of that model, or want to for that matter.

You are certainly right that would not fly on US broadcast. America's version will be different. But it sounds to me like the thing they are trying to replicate is not the high camp of the EuroVision original, but the state block voting mechanisms.

Yeah. That's what I figured after I wrote the text above. Might be fun.

"While still in development, the U.S. adaptation will presumably see American states compete against each other in a gradual competition over several shows, narrowing down the field all the way to the finale."
