steam organization

Postby Sith_Mafia » Thu Aug 16, 2018 9:51 pm

i finally organized my steam games (400+) by categories. i had partially done this a few years ago, but after all the bundles my generic 'games' section was getting out of control.

does anyone else do this?

i tried to limit it to the one best category that described each game. there are a few that are under multiple. i will probably add a temporary now playing section that will be the top 5 im playing at the moment.

i guess VR is added by default. i dont have VR, but there are 3 games marked as such which i cant remove

I'm slowly working through mine. All the bundles have made it pretty bad too. I don't even know what some of the games in my library are.

you can click on the game and view store page to see a general list of categories they've been tagged with by others

I'm kinda all over the place organizing by genre, developer, and game series at random. Also only about 1/3rd of my 559 games are organized...

Kinda. I'm not nearly that detailed. My catergories are as follows:

Favorites (games I'm likely to or regularly replay)
Multiplayer (for ease of friend stuff)
Need to finish (games I started but want to finish and haven't)
Played (all games I've played through to completion or to the point I had enough of it)
Yet to play (most of my games)
Z want my money back (games I regret getting before the refund policy was a thing)

There’s no valor in death. Valor is what you make of life.

This is more or less how mine are organized.

Though I've been real lazy about it the last few months. I have a few dozen that I haven't put in any category yet.

I've got three categories: Single Player, Multiplayer, and Crap.

I also use the Favorites thing.
