Games with Gold for June (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
EA SPORTS NHL 19
Rivals of Aether (second half of June, first half of July)

360:
Portal: Still Alive (first half of June)
Earth Defense Force 2017 (second half of June)

Eh, this is another off month for me. Nothin' there I am really excited about. I'll probably grab the NHL game. Every once in a while, I feel the urge to play a sports game. While I might prefer the NFL or FIFA, free is free. Portal is, of course, awesome. But I have it. EDF 2017 will also get grabbed mostly for the kids.

Games with Gold for July (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
INSIDE
Big Crown: Showdown (second half of July, first half of August)

360:
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (first half of July)
Meet The Robinsons (second half of August)

This is a month I'm excited about. INSIDE has been on my list for a while ever since I played Limbo. I had just never gotten around to buying it. Now I don't have to. Win! Big Crown looks like a fun couch coop game to play with the kids. I can always use more of those. Castlevania: SotN is a classic for a reason. I'll grab in for when the kids eventually want to learn about the game. The last game is the only one I probably will not grab.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a classic. If you are into side scrollers it is extremely good.

Games with Gold for August (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
Gears of War 4
Forza Motorsport 6 (second half of August, first half of September)

360:
Torchlight (first half of August)
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (second half of August)

More Castlevania. And I liked Torchlight (but I own Torchlight). Not really a GoW or Forza player. So not much for me this month.

Torchlight is extremely dated. It was a fun game at the time but they never really pushed it very far. Torchlight 2 was also good but it seemed like they were relaying on the community to keep updating it via mods and that didn't really happen.

Games with Gold for August (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
Hitman: The Complete First Season
We Were Here (second half of September, first half of October)

360:
Earth Defense Force 2025 (first half of September)
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (second half of September)

Not a lot to get me excited. Never really played the Hitman series so I may give that a try just to gain some experience. Have no idea what We Were Here is even about so I'll do some research. Maybe it's a gem? The EDF games I have played can be kind of gonzo but nothing that really kept me interested. And while I have fond memories of Tekken in arcades as a teen/young man, I'm not a huge fighting game player.

Games with Gold for October (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
TEMBO THE BADASS ELEPHANT
Friday the 13th: The Game (second half of October, first half of November)

360:
Disney Bolt (first half of October)
NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor’s Edge (second half of October)

So... TEMBO just has an awesome name that will get me to try the game on the basis of that alone. And I really enjoy Friday the 13th for what it is. It's also nice timing for adding it to GwG over the Halloween holiday. The two 360 games don't really interest me at all.

Games with Gold for November (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter
The Final Station (second half of November, first half of December)

360:
Star Wars Jedi Starfighter (first half of November)
Joy Ride Turbo (second half of November)

I'm always been tempted to try one off the Sherlock Holmes games. So grabbing one for no extra cost is great. And The Final Station has always been intriguing. Just the visual on the box has me curious. So another one I'll download for sure. Jedi Starfighter will be fun I am sure. Not really interested in the last one, but hey, three outta four ain't bad.

Games with Gold for December (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
Insane Robots
Jurassic World Evolution (second half of December, first half of January)

360:
Toy Story 3 (first half of December)
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD (second half of December)

Hmmm... nothing here I am super excited about. I'll give them a try, of course. But nothing I am eagerly waiting for.

Games with Gold for Junary (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
Styx: Shards of Darkness
Batman: The Telltale Series – The Complete Season (Episodes 1-5) (second half of January, first half of February)

360:
TEKKEN 6 (first half of January)
LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (second half of January)

I have vague memories of a game called Styx about a goblin assassin. Not sure if this is the same game or a sequel. I'll claim it but I don't expect I will ever play it. I am sure I will get to the Telltale Batman game at some point. Not a huge fighting game player so Tekken is not a real draw. I do love the LEGO games but I already own this game. I may claim it anyway just so I can toss the CD if it's damaged.
