Games with Gold for February (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
TT Isle of Man
Call of Cthulhu (second half of February, first half of March)

360:
Fable Heroes (first half of February)
Star Wars Battlefront (second half of February)

I'm not a big racing game fan so I probably won't pick up the Isle of Man thing. But there is a good chance I'll download the others. I own SW Battlefront on old school Xbox disc but it will be nice to have it digitally.

Games with Gold for March (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
Batman: The Enemy Within – The Complete Season
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (second half of March, first half of April)

360:
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 (first half of March)
Sonic Generations (second half of March)

Nothing that really stands out here. I'll probably get them just so I have them in the library but I doubt I'll install any of them.

I have Batman and Shantae on different platforms. The Enemy Within is actually one of the best Telltale games, but it's a Sequel to the first of their Batman games, so bear that in mind. Shantae is great if you like light-hearted platformers. I'm a big fan, myself.

... Lords of Shadow 2 is dogshit on a plate. It's so incompetent that it's impossible to start a new game without deleting your old save file.

Thanks for the recommendations! I do have the first Batam Telltale game... just never got into it. And I will definitely install Shantae on your advice. Give it a try.

I really wanna try Shantae. What's a good one and what's the best platform? Switch? PS4? I don't really play my Xbox nor do I have a PC I can game on, so ehh...

Hmmm... my old source seems to have just stopped posting the monthly offerings so I missed updating this...

Games with Gold for August(remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
Portal Knights
Override: Mech City Brawl (second half of August, first half of September)

360:
MX Unleashed (first half of August)
Red Faction II (second half of August)

And I'm not really certain August was a stellar month to come back on. Game Pass is stealing all the thunder.

Games with Gold for September (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
Tom Clancy's The Division
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 (second half of September, first half of October)

360:
de Blob 2 (first half of September)
Armed and Dangerous (second half of September)

Game Pass really has relegated Games with Gold to also-ran status. Nothing here I am remotely interested in.

Games with Gold for October (remember, all these games will play on X1)

X1:
Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut
Maid of Sker (second half of October, first half of November)

360:
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy (first half of October)
Costume Quest (second half of October)

No surprise that October's games tilt horror/supernatural. Slayaway Camp looks like a fun puzzle game that I'll try out. Maid of Sker looks intriguing. These two are exactly the kind of games I would probably not take a second look at if it wasn't for Xbox giving me an opportunity to get them for free. Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy doesn't peak my interest but anyone that hasn't tried Costume Quest should really do themselves a favor and try this gem.

Never played it on a console but I really loved The Division 2. I liked it so much I bought The Division 1 and played the whole thing, then went back and finished all of 2.

I'll claim it then and give it a try. Still a few days left in September to grab the last month's games.
