I definitely think dazzled is more of an irritation thing, although it's sure to cause you more problems at the onset, while potentially causing you less distress through repeat exposure. No, you feel almost exactly the same after my post as you did before.

Sorry for the lack of activity on my end. The household got Covid, which really did a number on us, especially my grandmother, and I've been dealing with that, among other things. Hopefully, if you're patient, I'll get back into the groove again soon. Until then, I look forward to reading Melody's prologue and seeing what hi-jinks she has gotten herself in (and how she came to be in the company of that elf who sold her to the slavers for 300 [gold?/silver?/glass beads?]).

To be fair, they did warn me not to trust him. But you know... curiosity... :shifty:

Okay, so we're all at various stages of reaching the same place, which is good. The sooner we all meet the better.

However, this is also a good opportunity to spend some 'downtime' should anyone want to; neither Sapphire nor Ashik know the date, so I can play with that to allow for people spending different lengths of time at the Mawr before meeting.

So, my question is: What do people want to do while here, if anything, and how long do you want to do it? You might not get it, but it doesn't hurt to be on the same page.

Melody wants to:

Get a decent meal
Find a safe place to stay for a few days
Wash and clean up, check wounds aren't infected
Cast detect magic on items
Check potions using spellcraft
Cast mending to repair hole in armour

Sell armour
Sell longbow
Possibly sell extra spellbook (if the price is right)
Buy composite longbow (+2 ST)
Buy fresh clothes, weapons etc for Goldthorn
Buy map of the area
Buy quills, inks and parchment

Write some scrolls (up to 8 days)
Watch out for likely dungeon delvers to approach with a venture

How about you, Fallout? It would help to know before I resume posting, so I know whether you guys are there at the same time or slightly out of sync

For now Saphire is looking for a place to stay. After that she's wants to learn about the town and the area. Not interested in shopping just yet as she's barely started her journey.

As for Ashik, once I get to town, I plan on...

- Grabbing a bite to eat with Lena and seeing the sights
- Meeting her friend and figuring out where I am in relation to the Wolf's Fang (or the northern coast)
- Finding a map
- Getting a lay of the land (i.e., how big is the local settlement, what it has to offer, its laws/culture, etc.)
- Inquiring about a job (likely with a local bowyer/fletcher) to earn some coin (or trade) so I can resupply
- Resupplying as best I can (trading services, both mundane and magical, if need be)
- Turning that gnoll hide into a pair of boots/leggings for Lena (for which I need proper tools and a workspace)

That should keep me busy for a month at least

I wonder what you folks think of this idea.

At present, the three strands of the game are entitled: Ryvauld game (LF), (FM) and (TT) to indicate the relevant player in each thread. I think it would make more sense to change these to: Ryvauld game (Melody), (Saphire) and (Ashik) to indicate the relevant character in each thread.
