Doug pulls Akz backwards. As the goblin flies back five feet, turquoise goop falls from the ceiling onto him. It begins to spread over him, along the ground and from the hole in the ceiling it was released. The slime begins enveloping the mushrooms which causes them to react, triggering every mushroom in the patch. Their bulbs contract and spores shoot out in every direction.

[With the given order and placement of the characters, Doug and Acker need to make a DC 12 reflex save and Billie makes a DC 8 one. On failure make a DC 15 fort save]

Doug and Acker manage to cover their faces and avoid getting the spores in their eyes, nose and or mouth's. Unfortunately Billie gasps in surprise and inhales some of the spores. Soon after she starts to feel itchy all over her skin. One of the mushrooms right in Akz's face, he begins writhing on the ground in a panic.

The ooze is continuing to spread. Tendrils creeping from the main mass pulling mushrooms whole in before expanding.

As the dwarves back up, protecting their faces from the spores, Violet steps up and reads her scroll, sending a blast of flame into the tunnel ahead of the party. It normally has a reach of 15 feet, but in the confines of the tunnel the fire will presumably be channelled and reach further.

Sadly there appears no way to avoid engulfing poor Aks in the flames.

(2d4 = 6 fire damage)

The flames engulf the mushrooms, the ooze, and Akz. The goblin thrashes in the heat and then lies there moaning in pain. Shielded from the fire by Akz's body, a few drops of the ooze slide out from under him, tiny pseudopods sweeping burnt mushroom and ash into their bodies.

At Doug's shocked and reproachful look, Violet says: "I'm sorry, but I had no choice; the slime would surely have killed him if I hadn't burned it away. Hopefully you can save him now."

"Dollin, there's a bit left. Can you handle that?" :eh:

She shines her light on the hungry little oozelet to show the hobbit where to aim.

Doug moves in to attend to Aks, gently dragging the goblin away from the remaining slime and out of the firing line.
