Billie collapses to the ground, retching out the worst of the spores as she scrambles away from the fire on all fours. With plenty of dry heaving, she attempts to wash out whatever is left in her mouth with her water skin, taking a moment to splash a small amount over her arms and legs.

At the end of it, she looks all together sorry for herself.

Rowan keeps a vigilant watch out for anyone altered by our commotion. In passing, he grimaces at Alloria. "Looks like the goblins have more resources than I'd have given them credit for."

Doug has no trouble dragging Akz out of the line of fire. He briefly glances up as Dollin releases a gout of flame on the area. He feels something wet touch his hand, looking down he sees a piece of the slime has seeped through the goblin's shirt and is absorbing the spores on the dwarf's skin. Doug feels no pain nor sees any wounds from its touch. Though he does feel the hair on his hands dissolving very slowly.

Alloria tries to comfort Billie and helps her with the water. Billie feels no relief from the itch even though the water washes away the spores.

"Yes," Alloria says to Rowan "though we were warned they were crafty and they are really good at growing mushroom. We should be wary of any more we see right?"

Doug gives the ooze a disapproving look, then takes up his holy symbol once more, pointing it towards both the small patch upon him and Aks' body, in case there is any more on him.

"Begone, ooze! By Chauntea's holy might, get back!"


He rolls an 11 (+5) = 16

As Doug brings the holy symbol close to the slime, a pseudopod reaches out, touches it, and absorbs some of the spores on it leaving a shiny streak on its surface.

"Well, you're a persistent one, aren't you?" Doug says to the ooze, taking out his sickle and carefully trying to scrape it off his skin. Rather like shaving, but with the ooze as shaving gel.

If he manages to scrape it up he'll flick it towards Dollin's fire.

If Doug's attempt to shift the ooze fails, Violet will cast her Mage Hand and use it to peel off the ooze and carry it over to Dollin's fire, where it will be deposited in the flames.

She'll then use the Hand to frisk Aks for any more lingering bits of ooze, repeating the process if she finds any.

Dollin peers wearily into the dancing shadows cast along the tunnel. "Is that everything? I can't... Was that the only patch, Violet?"

Doug manages to scrape off the ooze and throw it in the fire. The group waits a few moments and it seems that there is no other pieces of the ooze appearing.

Doug observes Aks from a short distance, without touching him directly, while Violet shines her light on him and also watches for any further oozing. :think:

"Doesn't look like any more, as far as I can see." She won't waste her Mage Hand spell if it is not needed.

Doug considers the goblin's state of health, and the issue of healing him only for his colleagues to push him back into the vanguard. He's also acutely conscious of his paucity of spells, and the need to use them wisely.

"He appears to be stable at present, but if he tries to move or do anything else he'll likely pass out from the effort. I think we should leave him here and press on. He can't really do anything to hinder us without doing himself further harm, and if I use a healing spell on him that's one fewer I'll have for any of you if we run into more trouble." :eh:

"I can come back and see to him later, once we've secured the mushrooms."

Doug will light his own hooded lantern to provide more light for the party. His provides a circle of illumination, while Violet's bullseye lantern shines in a directional beam. Between them they should be able to keep sufficient light for our needs, and shutter either lantern if needed for different areas.

Doug will move back in the party order to keep his light towards the rear, while Violet will move up to near Billie to support her in further trap-finding. Acker will also remain up front to provide more physical support.
