Arienne pauses a moment to think. "I don't know much about life here, and I'm sure the culture will be different than Seldar. All I know is the life and economics of a large port city, so I would like to say I'd love the idyllic rural life, but I don't know much about it. I'll adapt, but it might be good to take a look at as many places as we can before deciding. I'd like to talk to the townsfolk to understand the economy, maybe even a sage from this area, to understand the traffic within and outside of the Isles. Then we need to sit down and come up with a business plan, plus capital to finance until the business gets its own legs."
Devia's eyes are wide. "Wow! You've got yourself a shrewd businesswoman here, Sterling!" she says with a smile as she claps him on the back, regretting it instantly with a wince, as his rock solid frame stings her hand. Rubbing her hand to dull the smart, she continues. "I think you've got your work cut out for you, but rightly so. Can't jump into a life changing business without doing your homework!"
Arienne smiles and looks back to Sterling. "This place is quite nice," she says, toasting Devia with her wine glass and motioning around the room to the inn (this is the one halfway up the mountain to the royal castle), "but I'd like to see everywhere that we have discussed. Traffic leads to profit unless we have enough notoriety to bring clientele from wealthy cities to our small resort. Where do you want to go tomorrow, or do you want to spend another day looking more closely here?"
Let's go do whatever was the last thing that Morlan thought was a bad idea.
