One month and counting...

Larenil wrote:My goal for this time in the isles was to introduce a little more of the isles in terms of the dangers (sahuagins) and let you think about where you want to plop down residence based on that, proximity to the castle, the sylvan areas, streams, etc., and then let you all cruise about and do whatever you pleased before you went back. I'm happy to let this story play out in order to introduce more cultural aspects of the Isles, but if people get bored, let me know and we can fast forward.

Yep, bored now. Can we speed it up a bit please?

I wound up getting a new computer. Had some trouble setting it up, stupid thing still isn't up. Don't have a good place for it in the house like I thought with my kid (gets into everything). I keep telling myself that I'll post on FTB when I get the computer up as motivation to get it done. OK, a week goes by. Then we have some rain and our back door starts leaking. That turns into a flood through the door frame, the floor gets damaged, the door needs to be replaced.... yeah. As if it's not enough, we have a pipe burst in the ceiling, flooding another part of the house, and I've been tearing out walls. Oh yes, tearing out walls. And working full time. So... I've been a little busy. I have also given up on getting my new computer up and went back to my old more portable laptop. I'll deal with the new computer later.

Thus far, my repair jobs have lasted and the flooding has stopped, but I still have some way to go. So, I'll let XP go for a bit until my new computer is up and just try to post the story and keep it going, assuming my house doesn't implode any further.

Oh yeah. It's been expensive. Good news is that since I've been working from home, I was able to catch this early and keep it from being catastrophic. Bad news, even with insurance, this hasn't been cheap. I can do most of the basic stuff myself, but when it comes to sweating pipe and other skilled repairs that I can't afford to have leak, I usually let professionals handle it. We have another coming Friday for more work. Ugh.

We haven't heard from Clear Ix yet. At least Appollyon has posted recently. If anyone is going to be left to guard the weapons perhaps it ought to be Marlin.

I'm ok with Kor waiting with the weapons. As I thought about Kor's reaction to the request, he was conflicted. So deciding not to go to respect the druids wishes seems a fair compromise, even if it does put him out of action.

Yeah, sorry, and Marlin. I'll wait for his response.

Could be waiting a long time. He hasn't posted in months.

So, I'm trying a different tack, because we're getting nowhere fast and need some way to make something happen so we can get past this stage and onto something more inclusive.

Hope that's alright with you guys.
