I just want to clarify something before diving back in to RP mode.

The description of the latest inn sounds like the run-down and rather dilapidated one that Sterling was talking about visiting the following day, not the pretty one with the orchards he was talking about visiting today.

I don't mind which order we take them; I just want to be clear on which one this is as it will affect the IC talk.

Okay, in the absence of any GM input, I'm going to work on the assumption that Larenil has taken us to the run-down area of town and I'll amend Sterling's planned route accordingly. We can visit the other place later, and it probably makes for a more logical route anyway.

So, I went back and re-read to make sure I said this right. The second site, nearest the castle has a roof that needs a bit of repair. I ad-libbed that the stables needed some repairs.

Sorry for the delay. Had family in town, this virus started screwing up travel, then it really got bad with quarantine and I was trying to figure out work from home. Finally got that sorted and now am up and running again. Hopefully I'll be around more now that I'm locked down!

Hope you all are OK and that the virus hasn't hit you and your families.

Ah... okay, looks like I misread that, so my change and the talk following as a result is now all wrong. This isn't the run-down part of town after all, so Sterling would not have talked as if it was. :problem:

I'll take out the addendum I put in Sterling's post and try to amend his other one to fit better without messing up the content of your own post.

No worries. I have been absent a lot here, so it's my fault too.

By the way, this is not a topical 'disease' adventure. Also, with cure disease available (probably less so in my low-magic world), I doubt most people in the campaign world would have the aversions to diseased people like we do. If nothing else, granted powers from priests and paladins still work in the AMZ anyway, so there are ways to get cures if one needs them.

Just feeling it's time to check in with Larenil...

...are we having another of those issues with Sterling? :eh:

I'm not playing him as being intentionally provoking. But it's sounding like NPCs are reacting that way.

I'm feeling like it's time to take a step back and let others do all the talking from here on.

There are others, right?

I just thought it was kind of funny. I mean, you wouldn't walk into a person's shop in the real world and tell them that it's run down unless you meant to be rude. I figured it was just Sterling's mannerisms that you were playing, which I found to be funny. The first innkeep was a little put off but he was OK with it. I meant the second one to be crazy anyway.

In any case, I'm back now, and yes, I am working on XP. I need to sieve through the pages and make sure I get everything, so that won't be super fast. However, I will keep the story moving in the meantime.

That was July last year. How are you doing on the XP catch-up?

Hopefully I'll get some time this weekend to get things updated. Fortunately, we haven't been super busy and you're high enough level that XP isn't going to push anyone over the edge just yet, so hopefully business as usual for the moment.
