I'm not John, but presumably it would be the Gale Force 9 version.

Has anyone checked to see if there's a workshop mod in TTS for it yet?

Yes, this is the GF9 2019 remake of the game from ~30 years ago.

I believe there are TTS mods to render it.

Matt Colville has put a couple full playthroughs up on his Youtube channel, they're instructive although he uses some house rules. It seems EVERYBODY house rules this game at least a little bit. As far as I can tell his variants are...

1. Two spice blows per turn instead of one (which I believe is an optional rule in the book at this point)
2. No need to pay spice to have your troops fight at full strength (which I know is an optional rule)
3. 7 turn maximum game lengths instead of 15 (the original default length) or 10 (the new default length)

It's all very confusing. There is a basic ruleset in the book and an advanced ruleset in the book but it seems to be extremely common to pick and choose between them, and also modify the game however else you want.

yea i read the new basic rules, theres also some advanced stuff that I didn't look through.

seems like it would be fun. they mention various house rules for alliances.

wanna try for some night this weekend? it's been a while since i've used tabletop. i could see the battles being a little tricky on there since this involves a battle wheel selection + optional hidden cards..
