I hand layered the armor, no wash. It's hard to see on my shitty phone camera but it looks quite a bit better than a wash would. Washes work better for darker cooler colors with bright highlights.

With a bright white or warm color a wash won't provide enough contrast.


It took a LONG time to get that smooth bright ceramic white. 5 shades of incremental brightness, 2-3 coats for each shade.
