Looks good. The black lines under the armor, is that a wash or are you just super careful when painting the white armor?

I hand layered the armor, no wash. It's hard to see on my shitty phone camera but it looks quite a bit better than a wash would. Washes work better for darker cooler colors with bright highlights.

With a bright white or warm color a wash won't provide enough contrast.


It took a LONG time to get that smooth bright ceramic white. 5 shades of incremental brightness, 2-3 coats for each shade.

I bought a reaper starter set and have been painting a couple minis for the first time.

I stupidly thought dry brushing would be the easy part. I was wrong.
