My #1 rule is always to ask and check with the table, and if anyone is not okay with it, I’ll play a different deck. No one is obligated to let me play with silver bordered cards or Nephilim Commanders.

Once that hurdle’s jumped... a lot of cards are fine. A lot of silver bordered legends are fine. You can tell me that Baron von Count is too powerful while you’re activating Golos for the second time in a turn, but I won’t believe you. Don’t play the real disruptive stuff and I say you’re good.

That’s the other reason I want to start working on the silver bordered Smash Up box: the power level and game experience expectation is silver bordered and goofy cards.

I’ve got just about everything I want ordered for the Silver Smash Up box. I’d call it the Silver Showcase but that almost seems like a mean jab at that event.

I did order a Spike to put in, and I’ll be bringing a little collection of banned or restricted cards ranging from the innocuous (artifact lands, Lingering Souls, Fact or Fiction) to the powerful (what’s up Sundering Titan) to the bravery testing, i.e. Doomsday and Inverter of Truth (if that gets banned). I’m not intentionally putting Doomsday pile combos in there. But if you think you found the five cards that win...
