Bonus Episode 79 - Curiass / Queer-ass

Postby Penguinsushi » Tue Sep 25, 2018 1:07 pm

Dan - So, I thought it was just my comparative newness to the laborious Battletech rules that made me dislike A Time of War and a lot of the additional/alternate/post-3025-base tech. Sounds like even some of you veterans found some of that tiresome. I use the basic/intro rules and a little bit of homebrew stuff. Some of the auxiliary tech lost me, and I didn't want to go down some of the crunch-holes some of that stuff brings in.

Related, totally with Chad on the references-per-action thing. If it requires more than about 1, most of them had better be easily memorized, or there had better be a handy and easy-to-read cheat-sheet.

I'm also down with this, though my personal tolerance is more like 0.1 RPA.
