Re: Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker [SPOILERS THAT NUMBER LIKE STARS IN THE GALAXY]

The Star Wars characters live in a hell world that always reverts to the plot as it was in 1977. The empire always builds a planet destroying superweapon, the rebellion always blows it up, and it never matters. Han was more or less openly aware of this in Force Awakens. I have heard that Star Wars ...

Not a special as the comic book but a solid adaptation. I even like some of the original characters they added.

Whoah!
I did not know that was out.
Thanks!

Re: Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker [SPOILERS THAT NUMBER LIKE STARS IN THE GALAXY]

One of my least favorite elements of the Rey trilogy is that it has a tendency to go EXTREMELY overboard with the planet killer super weapons. Let's start with Starkiller Base. It could have been shown as a way to build a Death Star on a "budget" by rigging a planetoid instead of outright...

Re: What have you watched recently?

Parasite I knew less than nothing about this movie going in. I say less than nothing because for some reason, I thought it was a horror movie and not - what it was. I'm not sure what it was. I think it was listed as a comedy, and it was funny in the best kind of way (characters do in character thing...

Re: Reaction Tables

For NPC's and monsters, if I'm not sure how they will react, I'll just roll a d6 where 1 is bad for the party and 6 is good. If you wanted something more granular, roll two d6's - One to determine how much the monster likes/hates the party and one to see how likely they are to act on those feelings....

Re: Grumbly Things Go Here

Main, the opioids panic is a freaking nightmare for people with chronic pain (like my wife). I'm so sorry that stupid people have ruined it for everyone else, McNut. In Kentucky, in 2017, 1170 people died of opiod related deaths - a rate of 27.9 deaths per 100,000 persons. That was about twice the ...

Re: What are you listening to?

Last night I listened to the episode of the Michael Rosenbaum podcast "Inside of You " with guest Stephen Amell. Stephen has a panic attack a third of the way in and then comes back two weeks later to finish and talk about his panic attack. Among other topics, the two talk about what happe...

How far back?

When I was in college I listened to CD's (and audio cassettes) that were from albums that were 10+ years older than that.

Re: Looking for some tips!

I now never use it for work because I switched to using an actual bullet journal for that. Yeah I remember you mentioning about the bullet journal. It sounds cool in practice, but a little pricey for me. My last journal cost me $20 and lasted 2 years, but I don't carry it around with me. If you nee...
