There really weren't so many when I started writing this, but damn if they haven't proliferated.

Legacy: A Game of Masters And Apprentices (Which I Wrote)

Legacy is a game about playing a series of masters and apprentices across generations, about the marks left behind by the past and left on the future. Intended for campaign play for two players and a GM, Legacy neatly fits in a nearly unoccupied niche. It's also probably full of rough edges that I'm...

Re: Epic v. Steam

But lastly, and my main point really, is that the kind of beer you like, if you like any, is a personal preference that really makes no difference. If your favorite beer went away tomorrow, you would have no problems finding another beer to drink instead within a short period of time, because surel...

Re: What have you watched recently?

I just watched At Eternity's Gate. It was an entirely logistical watch that wouldn't have otherwise happened, but overall it was a pretty solid Van Gogh biopic.

Re: What have you watched recently?

It really is. It's easily my favorite Star Trek series, and is right up there with Babylon 5 in terms of excellent space opera (which could arguably be considered tied as my favorite Star Trek series itself, but that's a different matter entirely).

Re: Epic v. Steam

Beer is beer is beer. PBR used to be HUGE in the middle of the 1970's and then they just went away. Now they have come back as some kind of hipster craft beer. This is like saying "food is food is food". Even the beers that seem like they should be interchangeable commodity crap beers (PB...

Re: What's your current game doing?

Indeed, I do like saying it because it is such a non-sequitur. But, it is also a very real thing. Since most solo gamers keep very good notes, it is super easy for them to share actual play reports and such. We also create all kinds of solo gaming tools and rule sets. It's a great way to play games...

Re: Laugh About It

#5 The fact their statue is an almost exact copy of existing art work that isn't their original work is exactly why it's bullshit. If you want exclusive rights to an image, you really should come up with that image on your own. Big difference between using a trademark and original design as opposed...

Re: Laugh About It

Also side-note: suing for the unauthorized use of any religious symbol seems kind of silly. Like, wouldn't the act of owning the trademark to a religious symbol be inherently sacrilegious? The symbol in this context is a specific big, detailed, statue. It's specific enough to make this a pretty tex...

Re: What's your current game doing?

I'm still running One Shot Club, where somebody runs a one shot weekly*, with occasional cancellations. This week was Crouching Lion, Hidden Pendragon , a little homebrew microgame I made. It was intended for five players but I got three, so the PCs ended up being Gawain, Mordred, and Nimue. It star...
