Re: Free Games and Stuff

Snake Pass is excellent, and I'd strongly recommend everyone with access grab it.

Re: Do you/does your company use Microsoft office

I use part of it. I'll use Google Docs preferentially for most word processor things, but if I need to break out an equation editor I'm defecting to Word. Similarly if I'm using a spreadsheet it's going to be Excel, though I've used that a lot less ever since I learned to use Matlab, with Octave (a ...

Re: What's your current game doing?

I actually have a campaign now, in addition to one shot club - we've named it The Gulags of Cthulhu. Currently the players are about to breach the inner sanctum in a monastery*, where the mentors** in charge are helping a prominent cryptography researcher reach enlightenment***, who might be able to...

Re: What Video Games are you playing?

There's a fair few made for that, though some are just not that balanced in general but unbalanced in interesting ways. I'd strongly recommend giving Dominions multiplayer a try (I favor 3 with a mod and 5), same with Age of Wonders 3. I suspect the new Master of Orion is solid too, though I haven't...

Setting a high bar there.

It's the bar I had the misfortune of banking with before I jumped ship to a credit union. Technically after jumping ship too, because they make it surprisingly hard to actually close an account.

Re: Marvel's Netflix Shows

I'm hoping they don't merge it - as I suspect most of the people in my place (liking some but not all of the shows) do. What that means in terms of market and what not I don't know, but I could see it being an issue.

Re: It's what's for dinner tonight.

I've been on a laziness kick when it comes to cooking recently. Most recently this has manifested as upgrading canned chili. I got about a gallon of it a few days ago, cooked up four onions in bacon grease (very finely chopped), then added diced green chillis, cooked that whole mix a bit longer, the...

I certainly would not but I'm sure Wayne and Dan would wank each other off.

I'm sure there's an audience that would pay for that video.

Brodeur isn't really an audience, per se.

Re: whats the temperature right now?

Some of the US was in a polar vortex. Colorado was a bit south, and even at almost a mile in elevation it was about 6.4 F°/-14.2 C° (interpolating between data at 6:56 and 7:56, so more like 6 or 14 in terms of actual known sig-fig).
