Re: Big Red Couch Podcast - Turning Bad Ideas Into Games

http://www.dartmouthpartners.com/assets/boat.png "You're going to need a bigger card." And that's another good game pitch as well. :-) I think mine was more commentary than game pitch. We're planning on doing an episode on FTL:2448 on the podcast tomorrow and thinking about the father of ...

Re: Big Red Couch Podcast - Turning Bad Ideas Into Games

Good stuff from both Taz and Burning. Both sort of cover what I thought of. Sigh. So all I have to contribute is another game pitch: A retired Rear Admiral of the Imperial Navy, a retired Brigadier General and retired Master Sergeant of the Imperial Army, a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant of the Imp...

Re: Big Red Couch Podcast - Turning Bad Ideas Into Games

I like Todd's take on Esoteric Support. I, on the other hand, have a different take: In looking up the word in my thesaurus, it had the following example of "esoteric": in attendance were more than 50 antiques dealers brimming with esoteric knowledge Hmm. Tying in the old Ian McShane Lovej...

Re: Big Red Couch Podcast - Turning Bad Ideas Into Games

That's Todd being a Try Hard! :D

Still, I like this one Todd, it's a great solitaire setup.

And because Todd forgot to link to his rules, here's the link: Rewind

Re: Big Red Couch Podcast - Turning Bad Ideas Into Games

A jam packed episode of ideas and fun banter! Good luck Craig on your overseas adventures! Remember to speak slowly and loudly when dealing with those ruddy foreigners. ;) So, The Screensaver of the Ancients? Hmm. Idea #1: Using Atomic Robo, set in the 1950's with Secret Agent Robo in charge of Tesl...

Re: Fiasco PbF Game - You Call It

And I will point to a wonderful resource, the Fiascomputer. You can add other playsets for your own personal use. Sadly, at this time you can't share the setup, but it does allow you to do a quick setup and then copy the results elsewhere.

Re: Fiasco PbF Game - You Call It

Sounds like a plan. I will point to the folks on RPGGeek who run several PbP games of Fiasco for examples of how to do it. http://rpggeek.com/forum/689000/fiasco/play-forum I wonder if you should have a separate OOC thread where you coordinate things and leave the actual play thread just for in char...

Re: Big Red Couch Podcast - Turning Bad Ideas Into Games

Kedamono, "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" Seriously, I'll double down on the Retail Magic idea as plan A. Twisted minds think alike. Plan C. Not a whole adventure or game as much as a play aid, "Holy Grounds" is a location for the Dresden Files RPG and other urban fantasy settin...
