Re: Pathfinder Advanced Class Debate

And you were asked to list something the Rogue could do that the Wizard couldn't. You didn't. Asking me to prove a point that I was not making does not have any bearing on the validity of the point I was making. And just to get the Rogue to "outperform," you had to have the Wizard act lik...

Re: Pathfinder Advanced Class Debate

I don't really have much to say on what they can do that wizards can't. Like I said, that was never my point.

Re: Pathfinder Advanced Class Debate

Sorry, I guess I glossed over the cannot. My error. Of course the point that I was making earlier was that mundane a could outperform magicked classes, not that they could do things wizards were unable to do. If all you want is something a rouge could do that a wizard can't, ba ckstab for one. Evade...

Re: Pathfinder Advanced Class Debate

Depends on the game, sometimes there is a moderate amount of items, sometimes low. He'll I remember one game where me and my fellow players were trying to decide who would use the knife we had in the upcoming fight. We all still remember that game very fondly. The groups I play with tend to dislike ...

Re: Pathfinder Advanced Class Debate

Also, mundane stealth cannot thwart an ever-up Detect Magic (which is easily Permanancied) from detecting the Rogue's essential magical swag, which a mage can hide from with Magic Aura. Re: Pathfinder Advanced Class Debate

So lets...

Re: Pathfinder Advanced Class Debate

Answering the question as written for now though... A good wizard and a good rouge want to approach an enemy wizard. The wizard, in order to get through the enemies guards uses magic to turn invisible and disguise himself alternately. Good wizard enters evil wizards room and the paranoid evil wizard...

Re: Pathfinder Advanced Class Debate

Would i be able to change the question slightly to what could a rouge do better than a magic casting class using their magic?

Re: Pathfinder Advanced Class Debate

FM I would mostly agree with how you laid things out, I would add something to it however. If def 2 is: A game in which some portion of the rules empower and facilitate role-play, and without which the game cannot be played. I would say there is also Def 4 (because you already used def 3): A game in...
