Re: Pathfinder 2E Playtest

OK Booters. My wife and I went to one of our LGS to meet with a guy about playing the Playtest. Because why not? I'm not running it and I get to play. He had the book and then the wife goes and buys the Playtest. So there we go, I do have it. Expect Action Reports on it. First impression(s): The cha...

Re: Episode 493 Recycling Campaigns

Has anyone tried a revisit to a campaign? I don't want to say sequel but... um... :eh: sequel.

You and me both. I like Pathfinder for what it is, the next logical progression for 3E D&D. I disliked 4E enough that it was the reason I made the switch to PF. Not a wank just the reasons why I switched.

Re: The Luck Die (House Rule)

Gygax did this sort of thing, it's why early D&D mechanics are all "1 in 6" or "2 in 6" chances. If he didn't know he would grab a d6 and give it some arbitrary ruling to see if it worked out or whatever. I have, for years, done "Odds or Evens" checks. Basically a 5...

Re: "No Show" Trabo - A short AD&D adventure for low-level characters.

First, I love any FR setting with Zhentarim (I treat them like big business mafia) and you seem to get it. That idea in your first room (second?) where a Crit Fail means an edged weapon got stuck in the beams? Brilliant. Sometimes it is difficult to come up with a clever thing to have happen with a ...

Re: FFG's Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game Reprint

Just flipping through it brought back ALL the nostalgia feels and reminded me why I fell in love with that game in the first place. WEG Star Wars is STILL my go to Star Wars game. The Fantasy Flight game scares me off with needing special die for it. FF games in general scare me off from the price ...

Re: Pathfinder 2E Playtest

So I picked this up last week and haven't had any time to digest it, really. But what I've read so far I've found interesting. Maybe it's good, maybe it's bad. I don't know. But interesting. Anybody else pick this up/read through it? What do you think? So maybe I'm missing something, but I saw the ...

Re: GenCon 2018

We are there of course, we live 20 minutes from downtown. Not a lot of official stuff planned, this wil be Allyson's first year getting tickets and playing in other games. This may not go well for her as she really is picky about GMs. Thursday: RPG18142797 (A Kind of Magic on Thu at 01:00 PM) I real...

Re: The group template

I ran a Pathfinder dwarf game (they were all dwarves) and I told them it was all I needed from them as the GM. They were cool and did it and everything else was up to them. A template should also help the GM, it is collaborative so... you know. Collaborate. What is the Most Basic group template anyo...

Re: Any other guitar players?

Their Kes Paul’s aren’t really proper Les Pauls until around the $400 price point (the set-in necks and separate volume and tone being a big part of what makes a Les Paul sound the way it does) but their cheaper ones are still perfectly decent guitars, and some are very fun to play. True but really...
