Re: Happy Things Go Here

Am I the only one in America that doesn't like IPA's ? I hate them all with the exception of jalapeno/habanero IPAs. Something about the heat/veggie taste mixing with the hoppiness works really well. That might only work for me if "two negatives make a positive" holds true with beer. I ha...

Re: Happy Things Go Here

Over half of shelf space and taps goes to IPAs of some variety... Am I the only one in America that doesn't like IPA's ? Whether it's been from a grocery store in a can or from a tap at a bar, every one I've ever tried tasted like some variety of vomit. I sometimes wonder if it isn't some gag that ...

A traffic stop turns up whiskey, a gun and a rattlesnake, police say -- and that was before they found the uranium

Re: Top games of 2018

Ok. To the best of my recollection, here is every electronic game I have played across all platforms since 1/1/2018. The most recently produced game I have played is Homeworld Remastered and it was made in 2015. On My PC: Homeworld Remastered Simcity 3000 On my phone: I tried Tunnels and Trolls - bu...

I had to go watch the trailers for each just to remember what they were.
I totally forgot The Lizard was in the first one.

Re: Spider-Man: Far From Home

I have to say I'm kind of surprised about all the hate for the Andrew Garfield amazing movies. I always find when something better comes along there seems to be a bit of a revisionist history whether people liked what came before or not. Sure it had some problems but I really liked that first one a...

Re: Spider-Man: Far From Home

Re: action. I think I agree, mostly. Action, even action that's 95% CGI requires good direction. And whatever the director(s?) of these last two Spiderman movies may be, he's(they're?) no Sam Rami. Incidentally I think super fast action is only really trackable in animation. Some of the fights in E...

Re: Spider-Man: Far From Home

So he was hinging his plans on Captain Marvel and Thor etc never showing up again. I guess that makes it hold together a little better. This falls into the category of "the difference between fiction and non-fiction is that fiction has to make sense." Bernie Madoff knew he would eventuall...

Re: Spider-Man: Far From Home

I only saw this last night, so I have been avoiding this thread. Then when I get here, I find I've been mentioned by name - twice. You guuuuysss ..... :shifty: I liked it overall. Mysterio was great, though I don't think he was as good as Toomes from Homecoming. I really loved the reveal scene in th...
