Re: Web comic panels

I don't get it. To take a swag, He is removing a sign that says "Grumbles." There is a sign that says "Coming Soon: Dollar Admiral." There is an expensive department store chain in the U.S. called "Gimbels" and a chain of super-cut-rate stores called "Doll...

https://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/grandpa_jason_and_grandpa_chad.png The AARP puts the average age of a first-time grandparent close to 50, and the CDC has some data. But I don't have first-parent age distributions for specific names, or generational first-child age correlations, so the dotted line is j...

Re: Real stories weird enough for your game

My wake-up this morning was nearly getting brained by a holy symbol thrown by a cat. I have a good big icon -- a big nine by thirteen inch, gold leaf, iconic picture of Jesus, you know, the classic Orthodox style -- and a while ago the mount for hanging it on the wall broke, so until I fix that it'...

Re: Random Forum Thoughts.

... A week is represented by a ring of 7 blobs, one blob per day of the week. But the ring isn't round and the blobs are not all the same size and shape. ... This is actually a form of synesthesia . Colored letters (graphemes - the shape of the letters - rather than phonemes - the sound of the lett...

Re: Grumbly Things Go Here

So a guy at work was sneaking up via the warehouse to take break off camera. He was sitting at a spare table we use for parties. So the boss took away the table. Then he sat at the table for storing clothes and bags. Took that away too. Now he's having off camera breaks using a trashcan as a table....

Was the glue on the reader or the finger or both?

On the reader is a mess.

On the finger is understandable.

On both is funny.

Well, it's on both now.

Re: Random Forum Thoughts.

Total random gibberish: I have a tendency to visualize, or really diagram, things in my head when I think about them. We are all familiar with a clock face to represent the time of day. My brain uses a similar diagram to represent larger scales of time. A week is represented by a ring of 7 blobs, on...

So funny and unique and creative. Absolute knockout, may there be many more movies like it. Long live the whodunit! (kind of)

There will be at least one.
