Re: What Video Games are you playing?

Subnautica. I bounced off this a while back, but now I've unbounced off and have been having a lot of fun with it. The reasons for my initial bouncing still hold (the randomness involved in equipment finding made beacons later game than they should have been, which made navigation just unnecessaril...

Re: First World Problems

I go through computer peripherals so fast. When all my school, work, and play, take place on the exact same device, I'm the mouse and key-board equivalent of a long-haul commuter that puts like 70,000 miles on their car every year.

Re: Random Forum Thoughts.

I'm not sure where I keep getting the notion that reddit commenters are somehow more thoughtful and have more decorum than anywhere else on the internet. Once and a while I'll get a bug up my butt to ask some reddit community of a game or property I'm invested in something. With the exeption of a fe...

Re: What Video Games are you playing?

I got monster hunter world on sale last week and am enjoying it. I killed the t-rex which was supposedly the difficulty spike into the real meat of the game with no trouble but I'm a grizzled soulsborne vet so I guess that's expected. The biggest adjustment is how long some of the animations are. I...

Re: What Video Games are you playing?

Vermintide 2 I've had it a while, but never really played it. Finally a few of my friends got it and we played all day yesterday. Really digging it, just like the first one. I just wonder how long my mouse will last with all the clicking... Yeah its basically just Vermintide again with some differe...

Re: Hex Grid Prototype Question (Moved to avoid cluttering Tools thread)

Sorry I'm way late to this. If you're interested I recommend looking into quad-trees and popular culling algorithms. This stuff is quite a bit more "mathey" and "computer sciencey" than a lot of the things hobbyists like to (spend time figuring out, but it's pretty fascinating an...

I have tried and failed to meaningfully evolve my ability to design UX/UI like 20 times.

Re: Grumbly Things Go Here

I've never once been asked what my GPA was from my 1st interviews to my most recent interview 10 years later and I've worked at 6 different places and had dozens more interviews than that. To be honest the further away I get from graduation the less important my degree becomes. Did you list it on y...

Re: Marvel's Netflix Shows

Only reason I have Netflix or Hulu or ANY paid streaming service is because I'm leeching off my brother's accounts. I have an amazon prime account through my school at a steep discount, but that's it. My job makes internet mandatory. Comparing the cost of Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime, it was WAY ...
