Re: What have you watched recently?

Watched Greyhound over the long weekend. Yup. Tom Hanks can act. I love WWII movies. This was a tense story. And I loved it. Did you see the one where he negotiates a cold war hostage exchange from a few years ago? Spielberg directed it and fuck me if he isn't still the best at what he does. I feel...

Re: Random Forum Thoughts.

An interesting question is whether it is ethical to save someone from their own stupidity. In the hypothetical case, saving the stupid prevents natural selection doing its job and weeding out those who have a detrimental effect on the gene pool. Allowing stupid people to remove themselves not only ...

Re: Random Forum Thoughts.

Golf less popular among millennials and zoomers because it's a long game you can't save scum. What are you talking about. That's what a Milligan is. Yeah, the only times I've played golf I've basically just auto-lost so that i could drop my ball on the green after every hit where it landed elsewhere.

Re: CK3 ?

I loved the idea of CK2 and tried to play it a bunch, sometimes learning parts of it but (usually at war) running up against the UI and how much it took to learn how to do it. I wanted those stories people would tell about CK2 with all of the bizarre intrigue but I could never quite crack it. Didn'...

Re: OOP Board Games

Oh yes I got it upon release. Got two games in the bank before the plague hit! We botched the rules in both of them but I'm told this is to be expected when starting. Yeah the rule book for the new edition fell on hard on the side of "sacrificing specificity and clarity on the altar of not sca...

Re: CK3 ?

Blew through the tutorial after I realized knowledge of CK2 is pretty much applicable, and dove into a North Africa campaign which was my go-to in CK2. Almost forgot how evocative this series is, and how quickly I slip into full roleplaying in character with my goals and decisions. It's a pretty imp...
