Re: What Video Games are you playing?

I am finally underway on a Divinity Original Sin 2 playthrough that actually got going. I've tried it a few times before but been hung up on misunderstandings of the combat system. Once I got down the core insight that combat was about stripping one type of armor and CC'ing, and not just attempting ...

Re: Anyone planning on picking up a Steam Deck?

Looks like a great idea for people who play on handheld consoles. I don't so I'll be observing from afar.

Re: Keep the game alive?

Games' marketability needs to be kept alive by new products and changes to old ones. The games themselves don't. Most people trying to make money in the industry want to sell the next Magic or Warhammer, not the next chess.

Re: Managing Attendance

I'm a short arc guy too. My group currently rotates between 3 GMs who generally run an 8-12 session campaign and then hand off to the next GM. It's pretty common to run indirect sequels to previous arcs but we don't do it every time. Maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the time. Every once in a while one of the cam...

It could run everything I cared to in 1080p at 60 mhz on at least medium settings so I thought eh, this is go...

Re: Grumbly Things Go Here

Apparently lumber is so scarce in the US right now that it's cheaper to just chop up IKEA furniture than it is buy plywood. This is driving home prices up tens of thousands of dollars.

Looks like another apartment year for this dude.

Re: Random RPG thoughts

You could legit take some inspiration from Earthshaker! if you wanted. It's Zeb Cook's 80s take on an adventure in something huge's body.

We mocked it mercilessly but I've run it and it was great.

Re: Super League?

This will be interesting to watch. I thought the college football realignments of ~2010 were a big deal, this is an entirely different level.
