Re: What Video Games are you playing?

... Then there's Into The Breach, which just blows FTL out of the water while holding on to a lot of recognizable aspects that are pretty great. That's a pretty bold assertion, but I can totally respect that opinion. I liked how FTL was followed by Convoy (which was much more open and less directed...

Re: The Best Movies I Have NOT Seen...

I did NOT expect to get this high a score in this sub-genre at all. Some good movies I have missed as well. Today's genre, Teen Movie : 1. Dazed and Confused (1993), directed by Richard Linklater 2. Lady Bird (2017), directed by Greta Gerwig 3. The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), directed by St...

Re: What Video Games are you playing?

What sort of games fit on a tablet? I noted that Stardew is coming to a tablet format; something of that complexity (or simplicity) would be good. board games are good for tablet. also things like minecraft/fortnite work pretty well I really like board games on tablet. In terms of format/medium/int...

Re: Epic v. Steam

The word that I'd use for what you're describing, BV, is commodity . Paper towels are a commodity. Where, how, or by whom the paper towels are made doesn't really matter to me, either. Are they paper towels? Do they work like I expect paper towels to work? If so, then yes, they're equivalent to any ...

Re: Marvel's Netflix Shows

Just got around to finishing Daredevil S3. Wasn't really into it until the prison riot. I'm a sucker for long continuous shots and absolutely loved that episode. I really enjoyed Bullseye and Foggy remains the best. Overall, thought it was pretty good after a slow start. Glad I didn't give up on it....

I'm slowly working through Pathfinder: Kingmaker with some palate cleaners in between sessions. Palate cleanser 1 was Portal 2 which I finished on Sunday. Palate cleanser 2 is Guacamelee. I'm liking the "Metroidvania" feel, the overall style, and all of the posters of referencing old vide...

Re: What have you watched recently?

Was in the mood to play a little grand strategy on the PC last night so I ended up simultaneously watching a movie. Ended up spending most of my attention on Under the Skin . This is a difficult film to process / pin down. The plot synopsis won't do it justice. ScarJo plays an unnamed female alien ...

Re: What have you watched recently?

haunting of hill house on netflix is pretty good so far (we're about 5 episodes in) it's horror but it's mostly about the family and how their stories intertwine. lots of flashbacks to when they were kids at the house, mixed with current day as they are adults. i would recommended it even if you do...
