Re: What have you watched recently?

It actually makes me kind of depressed that the main cast of good characters are so likable and well developed when the series inevitably has to force them to realize that, essentially the gods have decided to kill them all and that they're pretty much screwed. As we near the end of the series, my ...

Re: What Video Games are you playing?

Playing games, for me, is about enjoying the stories and having fun. If I wanted a constant challenge, I'd stop playing games and live a life as joyless as all those haters seem to live.

Re: Random Forum Thoughts.

I just edited an article that says Meriwether Lewis bought a Newfoundland dog (Seaman) in Pittsburgh for $20 prior to leaving on his expedition. $20 in 1804... that seems like A LOT of money. The American Kennel Klub wouldn't be formed for another 80 years, so were they even really keeping track of ...

Re: Random Video Game Thoughts

Playing The Last of Us while my wife is battling a resistant fungus infection (side effect from her chemo and one of the medicines used to treat those fungi being out of stock for over a month) is a little surreal. If she starts clicking or tries to bite me, I'm out.

Re: What have you watched recently?

My wife and I have been watching The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. It's a nice expansion of the world shown in the original film and gives us a look at what society was like before the Skeksis ruined everything. The Jim Henson Company is still tops when it comes to expressive, soulful puppets. We...

Re: What's your current game doing?

The PCs reached level 4 of the Tomb of the Nine Gods in Tomb of Annihilation last weekend and suffered a PC death due to an unfortunately-placed sphere of annihilation vacuum. They're not quite demoralized, but there was some discussion about what we're going to play next if there's a TPK or they re...

Re: What Video Games are you playing?

After beating Spider-Man (PS4, except for the last 2 DLCs), and failing to find the controls for Red Dead Redemption 2 anything less than rage-inducing frustrating (thank goodness I borrowed rather than bought it), I switched to The Last of Us Remastered. I just got to the dam, so I figure I'm a lit...

Re: My Home Build Thread

15 months after we move in and we're already on our third range. After GE finally replaced the range in which the broiler coil exploded, we continually had intermittent problems with the induction cook top just not turning on (and we bought the proper cookware before we even moved). Controller board...

Re: Random Video Game Thoughts

The Last of Us, on the other hand, gets so intense, at times I have to step away. I am enjoying the game though, and I don't feel like it's actively fighting me.
