Re: Random Forum Thoughts.

I wonder if the Coronavirus will cause an uptick in people's usage of VTT's. I was thinking of looking into VTTs to run my games I've prepped for Gary Con remotely for people. I don't know if any of them have dice rollers for FFG's Genesys system (their Star Wars dice would work just fine). Also, I...

Re: Happy Things Go Here

At the risk of sounding like a lush, I am unreasonably happy that I have just discovered that my absolute favorite mead, Vikings Blod, (it may be my favorite libation period) is now available in reasonably-sized 300 mL bottles. I just bought two.

Re: Happy Things Go Here

Revisions on my next novel, Summer of Crows are complete. Over the course of half-a-dozen editing passes, it shrank from 162,000ish words to just over 155,000. I'll do the layout this weekend. The cover art is done. I'm waiting on a replacement map for the interior (the original is great, but hard t...

Office Moving (Again)

Our office is moving again. They received an offer on the building which will, not only pay off the current mortgage and all current debts, but leave enough left over to buy another building outright (apparently this property has hella appreciated over the last four years). We have to be moved out b...

Re: 3D It: 3D Print Files

These are cool. Will the ones you didn't list Supports on in settings print without them? Support-free models are so much easier on my laziness.

Re: Random Video Game Thoughts

I'm so over zombie hordes in games with very limited ammo. Zombie children added into that put me right on the NOPE Train to GTFOville.

If Days Gone had less of that and more post-apoc Pacific Northwest exploration and survival, I wouldn't have traded it in after an hour.

Re: What's your current game doing?

Looks like we'll start Ghost of Saltmarsh at the next game. My wife is going to play a Monster Hunter Ranger, but is waffling between a wood elf and a dragonborn. I think we're also going to have an artificer, a rogue, another fighter (or barbarian), and I don't actually know what the fifth player i...

Re: It's what's for dinner tonight.

Last night I cooked a citrus-marinated pork loin sous vide. OMG it was awesome. Perfectly cooked all the way through with no shrinkage or drying out on the edges. Best part is that it can sit in the water for a couple of hours while you finish the rest of the meal prep and not be overcooked (though ...
