Re: Do you/does your company use Microsoft office

I keep trying to make heads or tails out of OneNote. I can't get it to work in a way I like.

Re: Do you/does your company use Microsoft office

I use them everywhere. Their ubiquity outweighs any perceived advantage from cheaper alternatives. This. It's worth the cost to have files I can open anywhere. Every other option has portability problems. Plus my entire family and my in-laws use MS Office and I prefer to use the software I'm suppor...

Re: First World Problems

Thinking about this, I know why I will never switch to not having my own car. Because I want to get in it and go - NOW - not 10 minutes from now when the TAV arrives. Those twenty minutes a day (10 in the morning and 10 and night) would feel like an ETERNITY to me. This is what kills the car-as-a-s...

Re: Grumbly Things Go Here

RE: The shutdown- without getting political about it, I don't understand how it's legal in your country to force some people to work without pay for a month. Isn't that just slavery? The really short version is that there's a law that allows the government to order excepted* employees to work. The ...

Re: Random RPG thoughts

Definitely sounds hex-crawly. Which is another style of game I want to run but I don't even know where to start.

Re: Random RPG thoughts

Just heard about 'West Marches Campaigns'. I love learning new ways to approach the hobby. (Although this might just be a variant of the hexcrawl, we'll have to see, like I said, I just heard about it. Reading up now.) Can you share any links you can find? The idea fascinates me but I've never foun...

Re: Random RPG thoughts

I hate rulings not rules.

I also hate game developers that can't be bothered to read their own core books before issuing rulings.

Re: Grumbly Things Go Here

I disagree. I don't think we should judge someone for prioritizing their personal life, but If the call wasn't that important, I do think the wife is overreacting. (UNLESS of course there are other personal relationship reasons for her to be upset with him) It wasn't. She was. I understand emergenc...

Re: Grumbly Things Go Here

This sounds interesting, but it lacks the essential catharsis that only a true gaming story can deliver... :eh: Not sure it will be all that interesting, but here we go. One of my Vampire NPCs is in a really bad place and on a one way track to self-destructing when one of my PCs (Bob) asked her if ...
