Heir to the Empire was horribly dry. Boring would have been an upgrade. I didn’t make it nearly as far as Dan did before putting it on the shelf and never picking it up again (other than to donate it to a book drive).

And yeah, it would be really weird to be in a roleplaying game where nobody’s roleplaying much. I would roleplay the heck out of an obvious dice-rolling kill-loot-repeat dungeon crawl.

“It is called a freaking ROLE-playing game.” Amen, Dan. I have been in groups where it is only me and one other player willing to actually role-play. I am willing to bet a good deal of money that the two of us enjoyed the game more than the silent, heads-down types. I just wish that the GM had found a way to engage the others, but didn’t seem that interested in doing so.
