In my group of friends there are two people who DM games, myself and a friend of mine. Once every while one of us will come up with a campaign idea and ask around if anyone is interested in playing that. We’re a lot less about having a ‘gaming group’ that moves from game to game and more about individual campaigns with participants. People who aren’t interesting in playing the uprising of the Batavii against the Romans simply don’t join that particular campaign; but practically everyone is involved in a campaign one way or another.
