I had one of those dreams when I was a kid. In the dream I was eating this breakfast cereal that came in an orange box that looked just like wheaties. It was called “Topps” in the dream and in the box was fist sized bricks of styrofoam. The texture was just like biting into styrofoam and the ase was an overwelming pepermint. When I woke up I had the worst headache I’ve ever had!
As for holiday games, rpgmp3.com has an actual play of a one shot Christmas game based on the indie title, My Life with Master. They called it My life with Santa. It is (and they admit it) in totally utterly bad taste, NSFW, NSF sanity either. It is rather funny though.
Thanks for the tip, Ethan!
The one I was trying to think of during the episode is Evil Hat’s Spirit of the Season. I couldn’t recall the title, but I’m proud I at least got the company right.
Hi Dan,
In looking through RPGMP3′s site I see they have arious Christmas specias. They are all under the “community podcast” section. and it’s My Life with Santa parts 1 & 2 from 2004.
What made me laugh through the thing was not only the awful awful plot, but the constantly repeated holiday background music, and the players and DM’s constant comments to the effect of “If you have any love of Christmas, please stop listening.” It is immensly irreverant, but its just too funny.
Wow, can my grammar get any worse?
I was playing laser tag (or something like it) in a closed maze like building. Me and my friends were just walking around shooting for a laugh, not serious. We were up against a bunch of complete obsessive freaks. They were sliding around with their backs to the wall to cover the back sensor. They were holding their guns against their front to cover the front chest sensor and had their left arms over their gun sensor. They were intense and insane (and cheating).
One suddenly jumped in front of me, held his gun to my chest sensor and and was rapidly firing to get as mant points as possible. Reflex = lift my gun up as hard and fast as possible to knock his gun away – into his face – oops. I ran off, the game was about to finish. Didn’t see him again. For all I know he is lying in the middle of a dark maze 15 years later.
I must admit, even though it was an accident, it feels very satifying when I think about it.
I went into a theme park haunted house with my family. I trailed at the back so everyone would know where I was, quickly ran out of the entrance, came back around through the exit and waited round a corner.
I’m very pale and used to where goth black stuff. I heard my brother’s voice and got ready. I swung around the corner and lifted my hands in the air like an attacking vampire.
Unfortunatley it wasn’t my brother. It was some massively overweight man with his family. He jumped a mile. While he leant against a wall holding his chest, and his family laughed at it him, I ran away very quickly.
