Episode 26 – character-related issues
by Dan Repperger

We start this episode with a bad player habit that we missed in our previous two shows.  After that, we take on a series of topics related to character creation: unlisted perks and penalties, restricting races and classes, obscure supplements that can wreck games, and player illustrations.

Also, don’t forget the Baron von Badass art contest that’s still running!  You can find details in our forums: http://www.feartheboot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1004

A friend of mine got me listening to FtB from the beginning, and so far the banter has me hooked. In case anyone still reads these comments, does the group still think D&D 3.5 Monks are overpowered? That tickled me quite a bit. I think the “point by point” forum post mentioned in this podcast died of old age.

Guys, people have probably told you a million times. But DnD 3.5 monks are widely considered one of the weakest classes around. Compare scry and die tactics which can be done 6 times a day. Wizard. Scry spell the enemy. Teleport there. Finger of death. All. Day. Long. Quivering palm(once per week, I might add) does not compare.
