I'll bet that within a month, there will be rumors that some other company bought all the IP and is finishing the game.

That would be a golden turkey, a super expensive flop.

Are you kidding?
If 3D Realms is actually going belly up (and I don't know if they are) and all of their assets get sold off, someone might be able to buy the project for next to nothing. Obviously, we don't know how far along they were, but they were showing in game videos several months ago. If someone bought the assets, hired a few of the key developers and finished the game inside of a year, they could make a fortune.

Yes - it has been in development for 13 years, but that is all sunk cost - water over the dam. Whoever buys it gets to skip virtually all of that cost.

Looks like "When its done" might not be the best release date after all.

I remember playing the original side scroller for the PC when I was 14 or 15. Then I played Duke Nukem 3D. Then I played a ton of Duke Nukem: TIme to Kill. I love this franchise and hope someone keeps the ball rolling.

Oh wow, this just seams like one of those cursed titles. Well maybe Bethesda can buy it and make some more money of the name :P
