Post March of Dimes fundraiser
So the local March for Babies fundraiser walk was held last Saturday. My wife's team, Raina's Wings, managed to raise just over $4100, being beaten out only by K-Mart, on the local level. That is very interesting because Raina's Wings was not a corporately sponsored team, yet it managed to pull in more money than any other team except K-Mart.

To be completely honest, this community played such a HUGE part in the fundraising efforts. We cannot really express how thankful we are to you all. This community has been very supportive very early on, from the very first post I made when we learned how serious the situation was. In some very dark times this podcast and this community served as an anchor for me. It sounds sappy, I know. But those who have been there will understand the value in seemingly small things. Again, thank you all and don't be surprised if I make another mention of it next spring, leading up to next year's walk.

And just so there is no confusion, the March of Dimes will be leaving the walking teams' fundraising websites up until (I believe) the beginning of June. So don't take the walk being over to mean that "Dan's Not Quite Long Enough"s deadline has been cut short. Whatever deadline they have set is fully recognizable.

That is unbelievably awesome! $4100!? That's impressive. Was that the walk that was in downtown Indy?

Good, because the one here in town was really obnoxious and in my way. I really wanted to go GTA on those idiots.

I think that temporarily 'getting in your way' to raise money to help sick kids is worth it.

That said, we are glad to be of service. Losing a little bit of hair to help raise money for a very good cause and show some support for a listener is something I am glad to do.

We enjoy doing charities here on FtB and when we are able to do to help out someone who is a part of the community it makes it all the better.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. You guys are the best and you constantly blow us away! Give yourself a pat on the back!

Good job all. This is both a touching, amusing and worthy cause.

Now grow it back? Please? You look almost as scary as the Baron himself without it!

In all seriousness, well done to everyone!
