 And.....IT'S GOOD!
The curiosity rover has just successfully landed on the Martin surface and the very first pics have come in.
I'm looking forward to seeing what comes from this.

It was oddly intense to watch the crowd, felt bad when the older bearded man cried

 Re: And.....IT'S GOOD!
I am so excited. My laptop and desktop at work both have backgrounds from either Opportunity or Spirit. When they first landed I went to the JPL website daily to see thier progress and check for news. I will be doing the same now that Curiosity is online. After 8 years Opportunity is still operational. This has been a program that just keeps over deliverying.

I'm just excited that every time we send a new one, it is leaps and bounds better then the previous. I mean the laser, the lack of need for a base to recharge. Amazing information should start pouring in

And Bobak Ferdowski hit "Internet Famous" going at high speed. When I first found out who "that guy with the mohawk" was, he had 900-some followers on Twitter. Now he's got more than 10k, he's got a tumblr dedicated to him, and he was too busy landing a multi-ton robot on mother-truckin' MARS to notice.
He's officially Too Cool To Ditch School.

Fuck yeah, nerds.

(not meaning any offense man, just been a while since I've heard a phrase like that)
