Post Re: Most Broken Wizard Build Possible(3.5 D&D)
Hate to bump an old post, but this DM description really erked me.

Broken, you want broken? This will get you what you want, but it takes some time to build up to. Granted I'm a little rusty since I'm on the Pathfinder rule set now.

Here you go. This gives you access to some pretty slick abilities, also if you go higher in specialist you can add some big bumps to your dispel, enough to make your DM cry.

Classes
Wizard
Divine Oracle - Complete Divine p35 (Surprise this isn't just a divine class!)
Master Specialist - Complete Mage p71
Sevenfold Veil - Complete Arcane p45

Highlights
Dispel Bonus of +6 against abjuration
Swift Abjuration - Cast 1st level abjuration spells as a swift action (2 spells in a turn!) without increasing spells caster level.
Wards! Read about them under the Sevenfold Veil prestige class, they are goodness
Reactive Warding - Use "warding" ability as an immediate action... ie an usable ability outside of your turn.
Veils! Read about them under the Sevenfold Veil prestige class
Prescient Sense - Evasion but better!

Build
Level Class
1 Wizard
2 Wizard
3 Wizard
4 Master Specialist
5 Divine Oracle
6 Divine Oracle
8 Master Specialist
9 Master Specialist
10 Master Specialist
11 SEVENFOLD VEIL
12 SEVENFOLD VEIL
13 SEVENFOLD VEIL
14 SEVENFOLD VEIL
15 SEVENFOLD VEIL
16 SEVENFOLD VEIL
17 SEVENFOLD VEIL
18 Abjurant Champion
19 Abjurant Champion
20 <insert a class>

Anyways, I will tell you... your DM sounds like a d... umm difficult to play under. Wizards at low level are difficult to play especially when a DM is overpowering their NPCs/Mobs.

If you were playing a psion I could tell you how to do 504 points of damage total per round for up to 20 rounds with one power (ie spell).

Loving that idea I might steal that if I join another D&D group but I left that group I mentioned at the start of this thread months ago.

Go for it! :)

Tell me the results when you get it going. I've seen a similar build in play before, it is crazy and that was around 13th level if I remember right. With the write feats, rods, and rings... it is extremely over broken.

Remember crafting is your friend, Craft Rod is worth an exp hit in 3.5... unless you DM will reward or allow you to buy them. For instance look up the Rod "Metamagic, Quicken", DMG p236. You will notice that you can cast a spell as if it is quickened three times a day without the level memorization bump. The rod just needs to be on your person if I recall 3.5 rules correctly.

is there a quicker way to get to summoning balors than just taking wizard levels all the way up

that's pretty much my wizard game

Side tracking a bit it's fun to mass with the DM sometimes. A while ago my DM at the time put the party up against a creature with massive DR against physical attacks and a huge spell resistance. However he'd forgotten about my sorcerer the conjurer. Yeah you can block the wizards fireball 90% of the time but My lesser orb of fire has no problems hitting you.

Point is conjuration has lower damage/effect but is more DM proof.
